User Agreement

Welcome to "Macau Heritage AR" (hereinafter referred to as "the App" or "the Service"). This User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") is an agreement between you and "Organization Name" (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "the Developer") regarding your use of the App.

Important Notice

Please carefully read and fully understand all terms of this Agreement, especially the clauses regarding limitation of liability, applicable law, and dispute resolution.

If you do not agree with any content of this Agreement, please stop using the App immediately.
By downloading, installing, launching, or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms of this Agreement.

1. Scope of Agreement

1.1 Parties to the Agreement

This Agreement is jointly entered into by you (the user of the App) and "Organization Name".

1.2 Agreement Content

This Agreement includes the main text and various rules, statements, and instructions that we have published or may publish in the future. Once officially published, the aforementioned content shall constitute an integral part of this Agreement.

1.3 Agreement Modification

We reserve the right to modify the terms of this Agreement as needed. The modified Agreement will be published within the App and take effect from the date of publication. If you continue to use the Service, it indicates that you accept the modified Agreement.

2. Service Description

2.1 Service Content

The App is an educational Augmented Reality (AR) application that primarily provides the following services:

AR Image Tracking: Scan images of Macau's UNESCO World Heritage Sites with your camera to display 3D building models in real-world scenes
Multilingual Support: Interface available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, and Portuguese
Audio Narration: Cantonese audio narration explaining the history and culture of Macau's heritage sites
Site Information: Detailed introductions to 22 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Macau
Interactive Experience: Support for 360° viewing, zooming, and rotating 3D models

2.2 Service Nature

The App is a free educational application and does not charge any fees.

2.3 Device Requirements

Devices supporting HarmonyOS 5.0 or above
Devices with camera functionality
Recommended use in well-lit environments

2.4 Service Limitations

The Service depends on the device's camera and AR capabilities; devices without cameras or AR support cannot use it properly
Some features may vary depending on device performance
We do not guarantee that the Service is fully compatible with all devices

3. Usage Rules

3.1 Account and Registration

The App does not require account registration to use all features, and we do not collect your personal identification information.

3.2 Lawful Use

When using the App, you must comply with the following:

You agree to:

Use the App only for lawful educational, cultural learning, or tourism purposes
Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the Macao Special Administrative Region
Respect cultural heritage and use AR features responsibly
Not interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the App

You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the App
Copy, modify, adapt, translate the App, or create derivative works
Use the App for any commercial purposes
Remove, conceal, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices in the App
Use automated programs, robots, or other non-human methods to access the App
Distribute viruses, malicious code, or other content that may damage the App
Infringe on others' intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legitimate rights

3.3 Usage Scenario Guidelines

When using AR features, please pay attention to your surroundings to avoid collisions or falls
When using in public places, please respect others and do not interfere with their normal activities
When visiting heritage sites, please comply with site management regulations

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Application Copyright

All content of the App, including but not limited to:

Software programs, source code, interface design
3D models, images, icons, audio
Text, data, materials
Trademarks, logos, domain names

are protected by the Copyright Law, Trademark Law, and other intellectual property laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and international treaties, and the intellectual property rights are owned by "Organization Name" or related rights holders.

4.2 License Scope

We grant you only the following limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license:

To download, install, and use the App on your personal device
For personal, non-commercial educational and cultural learning purposes only

4.3 Restrictions

Unless expressly permitted by law or with our written permission, you may not:

Rent, lend, sell, sublicense, or distribute the App
Modify, translate, or adapt the App
Use the App for commercial purposes
Remove or modify copyright notices in the App

4.4 Cultural Heritage Content

The intellectual property rights of the content related to Macau's UNESCO World Heritage Sites displayed in the App belong to the relevant cultural heritage management institutions and original rights holders. The App is for educational and cultural dissemination purposes only.

5. Privacy Protection

5.1 Privacy Policy

We take your privacy protection very seriously. For details on how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information, please read our Privacy Policy carefully.

5.2 Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information
All AR processing is completed locally on your device
We do not upload your camera images or other sensitive data

6. Disclaimer

6.1 Service Provided "As Is"

The App and related services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no express or implied warranties regarding the suitability, error-free operation, uninterrupted service, or other aspects of the Service.

6.2 Content Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate information about UNESCO World Heritage Sites, but we do not guarantee the complete accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all content. Historical materials and cultural explanations are for reference only; please refer to official documents if you have any questions.

6.3 Technical Limitations

AR functionality may vary depending on device performance, ambient lighting, target image quality, and other factors
We do not guarantee that AR tracking will work properly in all situations
3D models are artistic representations and may differ from actual buildings

6.4 Third-Party Content

The App may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We assume no responsibility for such third-party content.

6.5 Force Majeure

We assume no responsibility for service interruptions or unavailability caused by force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, changes in laws and regulations, network failures, etc.).

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Risk of Use

You understand and agree that you assume all risks associated with using the App.

7.2 Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for using the App (the App is free, i.e., zero)

7.3 Safety Precautions

When using AR features:

Please pay attention to your surroundings to avoid collisions or falls
Do not use while driving, walking, or engaging in other activities that require attention
We are not liable for personal injury or property damage resulting from the use of the App

8. Service Changes and Termination

8.1 Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice.

8.2 Service Termination

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling the App.

8.3 Consequences of Termination

After service termination, we have no obligation to retain or provide you with any data
Since the App data is stored locally, all data will be deleted upon uninstallation

9. Child Protection

9.1 Applicable Age

The App is suitable for all ages, including children.

9.2 Parental Supervision

We recommend that parents or guardians guide and supervise children's use of the App.

9.3 Privacy Protection

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

10. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

10.1 Applicable Law

The conclusion, performance, interpretation, and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the Macao Special Administrative Region.

10.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or related to this Agreement shall first be resolved through friendly consultation between the parties. If consultation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with a court of competent jurisdiction.

10.3 Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

11. Other Provisions

11.1 Entire Agreement

This Agreement (including the Privacy Policy) constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App and supersedes all prior oral or written agreements.

11.2 Reservation of Rights

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

11.3 Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our prior written consent. We may freely assign our rights or obligations under this Agreement.

11.4 Headings

Headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of the Agreement terms.
